Serena Kayretli and her husband Vedat Kayretli, were convicted of manslaughter of Fevsi Demir (a former boyfriend of Serena). Demir’s body was found encased in concrete a significant time after his death. Their convictions were quashed on the basis of problems with the evidence of the Home Office pathologist in the case.
