Greg Harding

Year conviction was overturned:
2021

Greg Harding was a sub-postmaster who was investigated by the Post Office after shortfalls in his accounts were identified by the Horizon computer system. He was accused of theft and pleaded guilty to false accounting. The Post Office agreed to accept the plea and drop the theft charge on the condition that he made no mention of problems with Horizon in any plea in mitigation. His conviction was quashed when it became clear that the Horizon system had been incorrectly identifying shortfalls.
