Daniel Morrison
Years in prison:
4.0
Year conviction was overturned:
2008
Daniel Morrison was one of eight co-defendants convicted of falsely imprisoning an IRA member who was a British informant, for two days in January 1990. Convictions were based on testimony of three prosecution witnesses that was found to be unreliable. There was also non-disclosed evidence that the appeals court ruled would have had a significant effect on the trial outcome and would have almost certainly led to acquittal.
